Summary
The Private Client Services Officer is responsible for developing, managing, and retaining full personal relationships with high income/high net worth financial clients. This position will provide banking strategies, advice, solutions, and a high level/high touch experience that is customized to meet the financial needs of clients. The position is trusted with developing and maintaining client relationships as the primary point of contact by engaging the resources of other parts of the organization to provide meaningful and personalized service. Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations. Works in accordance with organization’s values.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Identify and develop new relationships of potential clients, both internal and external to the bank. This will include developing relationships through referrals from clients, center of influences, personal community involvement, internal partners, and mining for prospects in the existing customers.
- Profile across the full spectrum of the needs of Private Client Service segments and provide tailored advice in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Utilize planning capabilities and develop solutions across consumer lending, deposit, trust, and/or brokerage, and all other appropriate services.
- Collaborate with other departments within the bank to ensure that clients receive excellent service and that the bank’s goals are achieved.
- Manage relationships and a portfolio of clients by planning, delivering, and regularly reviewing with clients. Deliver a high degree of personal contact and open communication among clients and the internal team that creates an extraordinary experience.
- Facilitate financial needs assessment review with clients and monitor their ongoing financial and personal circumstances to make adjustments or take action accordingly.
- Ensure that the proposed solutions maximize the clients’ goals and objectives.
- Coordinate commercial, consumer, and other loan requests through established processes.
- Work with INB teams to present opportunities, including commercial loans, consumer loans, depository accounts, trust and/or brokerage, consulting, etc.
- Work with INB’s Marketing division to create sales materials and advertising campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients on various financial topics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics.
- Participate in community events and activities to promote the bank and build relationships with potential clients.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Work with INB Executive Management to develop the Private Client Services division through additional staffing.
Performance Measurements
- Functions and banking services are effectively performed and completed in accordance with established INB policies, procedures, and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Documents and reports are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely fashion.
- Good working relationships/partnerships exist with INB personnel, management, customers, and vendors.
- Communicate with clients.
- Greet visiting clients and professionals as needed and assist in the organization of departmental events.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business business-related field and/or eight plus equivalent work experience.
Language Skills
Requires ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally); Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Requires ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Requires the ability to use good judgement in making routine and complex decisions. Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell products and services. Must be goal-oriented and able to achieve individual goals as well as work as a team player to achieve departmental and/or Bank goals.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with an ability to quickly learn other bank-related programs.
