The Relationship Banker II position is responsible for providing superior and quality customer service while providing efficient and accurate transaction processing. The RB II receives and pays out money, keeping records of money and negotiable instruments involved in performing various financial transactions. Accounts for all receipts and disbursements. Explains, promotes, or sell products or services by using computerized information about clients to tailor recommendations. Work also includes routine clerical support tasks related to the teller and bank branch operation function. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures with the Customer and Banking Service field. The RB II relies on limited experience and exercises judgment and discretion to plan and accomplish goals. Works with relative independence to accomplish variety of work tasks. Works under general supervision. Questionable or non-routine transactions are referred to supervisor. Ensures excellent internal and external client relations at all times.     

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform a wide range of procedurally correct teller duties, including but not limited to: processing check and cash deposits, cashing checks, issuing cashier’s checks, preparing change orders and receiving loan payments.
  • Examine signatures for withdrawals and checks for endorsements and verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the document(s) ownership.
  • Balance teller cash drawer daily and maintain accuracy with cash and other negotiable(s) handling by using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
  • Opens new accounts using the bank’s procedures and Customer Identification Procedures (CIP) policy. 
  • Use the bank's CRM tool (Salesforce) to track and update client service requests
  • Provide high level of customer service and professionalism to clients in person, by phone and by email.
  • Resolve client issues, discrepancies or concerns by utilizing resources, supervisor and/or various departments within the bank.
  • Process transactions and maintain proper logs for vault and courier/mail.
  • Assist with cash shipments and ordering cash for the branch.
  • Perform scanning process to include daily transactions, client documents and organize new account files.
  • Adhere to all Bank of San Antonio policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Monday- Friday, 8:00 am-5:00pm

Requirements

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); 1 to 2 years of banking experience, with at least 6 months of teller experience and 6 months of new account opening experience, including personal and business accounts. Proficient with teller systems required.
