POSITION PURPOSE

 

Responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of the banking center.  Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed.  Oversees provision of a full range of services to customers and prospective customers.  Ensures that customers are promptly and professionally served.  Trains, directs, and supervises lobby and teller staff. Ensures banking center transactions, expenses, and profitability are in line with Bank standards.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for a variety of bookkeeping duties.
  • Process Branch all non-post rejects 
  • Monitor multiple email boxes.
  • Process adjustments to customer’s accounts and Federal Reserve, Wells, Chase. (Encoding errors, double post, etc.)
  • Process and balance non post returns, process work thru branch capture
  • Assist with Charge-back item processing.
  • Process next day ACH warehouse non posts report (Invalid Account Numbers).
  • Process deposit verification request.
  • Process large return notification and place holds.
  • Assist with other bookkeeping functions as needed. 

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for a variety of other departmental duties.
  • Answer phones and assist banking centers. 
  • Have a positive, professional, and courteous interaction with customers and associates

 

  1. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
    • Performs related clerical duties as assigned.
    • Ensures that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:  High school graduate or equivalent.

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of clerical functions, bookkeeping experience preferred.

Experience Required: One to two years of banking experience.

Skills/Abilities: Must be a self-starter that can manage multiple projects/duties with minimal supervision.

Must display a positive team working attitude with associates in all departments.  

General knowledge of compliance and regulations procedures.
 Must be able to perform extensive reading, computer usage, and close or highly concentrated visual work.

Must have good phone communication skills
