Position Overview:

We are seeking a Biosecurity & Filtration Auditor to help uphold and enforce biosecurity and filtration standards across our Midwest production system. This position plays a key part in conducting on-farm audits, smoke testing, SOP inspections, site assessments, and responding to disease events, while also supporting filtration maintenance and collaborating with multiple departments to strengthen system-wide biosecurity. With travel across multiple states and regular physical fieldwork, this role is essential to protecting animal health and ensuring operational continuity across one of the nation's leading pork producers. The ideal candidate is independent, adaptable, and organized, with strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance and high standards in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct system-wide audits of biosecurity protocols and SOPs, including on-farm and non-farm sites, barn smoke testing, and filtration assessments to ensure compliance and maintain operational standards.
  • Inspect materials, equipment, and personnel movement; identify and report breaches or non-compliance; assist in corrective actions and disease containment efforts.
  • Collect and process samples for analysis; support disease investigation audits and recommend appropriate remediation measures.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation, manage data entry into designated systems, and clearly communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide hands-on training on biosecurity practices; liaise with resource departments and maintenance teams to support filter replacements and ensure proper installation.
  • Prioritize and organize tasks independently, manage schedules, uphold audit standards, and ensure timely execution of filtration and biosecurity work orders.
  • This position involves regular overnight travel across multiple Midwest states, typically one night per week, though frequency may vary with business needs, and may include extended workdays and occasional overtime. Must reside within one hour of the Sleepy Eye, MN headquarters

What You Offer Us:

  • Previous experience in farm operations, with exposure to livestock or agronomy, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, is essential; must be able to organize and translate data into clear, actionable reports.
  • Requires fluency in English; but bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus. Strong skills in time management, communication, critical thinking, and independent work, along with adaptability, attention to detail, accountability, and the confidence to address non-compliance professionally.

  • The targeted base pay range for this role is $24/HR to $28/HR with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills, and experience.
