FT X-Ray Technologist - Fayetteville
Position Summary:
The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills. The technologist ensures high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures.

Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Position patients correctly and ensure proper exposure techniques to minimize radiation.

Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation protection standards.

Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

Assist with patient transfers and ensure proper immobilization when necessary.

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis.

Maintain and clean imaging equipment regularly; report any malfunctions.

Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Stay current with continuing education and advancements in radiologic technology.
Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.

Valid state license (if applicable).

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues and referring offices.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Preferred Experience:
Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience.
Multi-modality is a plus. Opportunity to learn Mammography.
Required Education/Certification:

- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current ARRT/ Radiologic Technologist License
