PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION 

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will service client accounts from beginning to end. This includes managing all renewal requirements, providing product and service information, and acting as a commercial insurance subject matter expert.  

You will also work closely with our production teams and collaborate cross-functionally to drive business outcomes.  

This will be an on-site position with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office per week + 2 days from home) once training is complete.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead the renewal process and provide personalized support for assigned clients.
  • Bind and issue policies, endorsement and audits, and prepare premium/loss and modification analyses. 
  • Determine appropriate marketing strategies for the placement of commercial business.
  • Prepare and process new proposals, renewal applications, binders, endorsements, certificates, account summaries, cancellations, audits, check policies, and lost policy releases. 
  • Review and interpret coverage for new/renewal policies and triage claims. 
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, and carriers.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage and exposures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • BA/BS degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • 2+ years of commercial insurance account management experience. 
  • Active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment.
  •  Strong organization/communication skills – including the ability to develop relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Experience effectively managing multiple tasks and making decisions with limited oversight.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Applied Epic (or similar agency management system) preferred. 
  • Industry designations such as CISR and/or CIC preferred.
