ARMSTRONG AMBULANCE SERVICE POSITION OPENING: FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER – SUNDAY POSITION

Location: Greater Boston Area 
Schedule: Weekends | Part-Time 
Reports To: Assistant Director of Operations/Director of Operations

POSITION SUMMARY
Armstrong Ambulance is seeking a dedicated and motivated Field Operations Manager (FOM) to fill our Sunday coverage role and at all times while employed at Armstrong ambulance. This key leadership position provides frontline EMS supervision, ensuring clinical excellence, operational readiness, and personnel accountability. The FOM serves as both an operational leader and field support resource, enforcing agency standards, coaching field providers and providing on-scene guidance during critical incidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise field crews during assigned shift with focus on performance, professionalism, company policies and protocol compliance.
  • Respond to incidents to manage scene operations, investigate safety events, and support patient care delivery.
  • Monitor and ensure operational readiness of bases, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Review documentation, guide CQI efforts, and assist with staff education.
  • Serve as a liaison between field personnel and administrative teams.
  • Support onboarding, mentoring, and employee development initiatives.
  • Annual OEMS inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Paramedic.
  • Massachusetts Paramedic Certification, valid driver’s license, ACLS, PALS.
  • HazMat & NIMS training (or ability to obtain within 7 days)
  • Learn / understand dispatch o Zoll devices, Ventilators, Lucas devices.

Preferred:

  • Supervisory experience in EMS.
  • Familiarity with Zoll equipment, Right-Cad, Microsoft Office, GPS trackin

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  •  Must be able to lift and maneuver 125 lbs with assistance.
  • Operate effectively in high-stress environments.
  • Comply with random drug testing and physical agility requirements.
