We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations on our second shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse processes, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. This role is crucial for maintaining productivity and fostering a positive team environment.

Compensation: $26.00 - $32.00 + shift differential

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring effective team management 
  • Oversee materials handling, including receiving, storing, and shipping products 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment 
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as necessary for daily operations 
  • Ensure warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas throughout the working day to meet deadlines for all processes 
  • Monitor on an established basis, operations, procedures and employees to ensure quality, service and productivity objectives are met.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit and hire new team members and address performance or any other personnel issues, including but not limited to corrective actions and terminations
  • Assign tasks and monitoring employee performance
  • Assist with training and development of new and existing employees in safety, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Five plus years in distribution environment, preferably steel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Organizational, leadership and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, planning and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Experience with steel industry
