Overview
SimpleClosure is seeking a mid-level frontend software developer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll help build, shape, and iterate on the core user-facing components of our platform that directly impact our clients’ experience. This is a great role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, loves taking ownership, and enjoys turning product requirements into elegant, functional frontend code. This position is hybrid in NYC and reports to the CTO.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive and responsive UI/UX.
Translate product and technical requirements into high-quality frontend code and user experiences.
Contribute to the full development lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and maintain.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Identify, debug, and resolve technical and user-facing issues as they arise.
Stay up-to-date with modern frontend technologies and best practices.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of professional frontend development experience, ideally with early-stage or fast-paced startups.
Tech Stack: Strong experience with React and TypeScript. Familiarity with Next.js or similar modern frameworks is a plus.
Design Systems: Comfort with implementing responsive designs from Figma or other mockup tools.
Quality-Focused: Committed to testing, accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
Ownership Mentality: Proactive and accountable for the features and products you ship.
Adaptable: Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Team-Oriented: Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with product, design, and operations.
What we offer
Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000
