Overview

SimpleClosure is seeking a mid-level frontend software developer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll help build, shape, and iterate on the core user-facing components of our platform that directly impact our clients’ experience. This is a great role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, loves taking ownership, and enjoys turning product requirements into elegant, functional frontend code. This position is hybrid in NYC and reports to the CTO.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive and responsive UI/UX.

  • Translate product and technical requirements into high-quality frontend code and user experiences.

  • Contribute to the full development lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and maintain.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Identify, debug, and resolve technical and user-facing issues as they arise.

  • Stay up-to-date with modern frontend technologies and best practices.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional frontend development experience, ideally with early-stage or fast-paced startups.

  • Tech Stack: Strong experience with React and TypeScript. Familiarity with Next.js or similar modern frameworks is a plus.

  • Design Systems: Comfort with implementing responsive designs from Figma or other mockup tools.

  • Quality-Focused: Committed to testing, accessibility, performance, and maintainability.

  • Ownership Mentality: Proactive and accountable for the features and products you ship.

  • Adaptable: Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

  • Team-Oriented: Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with product, design, and operations.
