Innophos is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead for our manufacturing plant in North Salt Lake, UT. The right candidate will provide support to NSL Maintenance Operations in the form of troubleshooting process equipment, help design and build new equipment for operations, and work with engineering to improve operability of existing equipment. This position will provide planning and coordination for the maintenance department. Also, will provide support for the purchase of parts, equipment and services for maintenance and capital projects.


The actual wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, specific skills, licenses and certifications, experience, and training.


Key Responsibilities
  • Follows and provides support for all environmental, health and safety initiatives
  • Proactively addresses all identified safety hazards and eliminates all unsafe conditions
  • Adheres to all safety programs, SOPs and GMPs
  • Coordinates all assigned work with the operations team, maintenance, and QA/QC departments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers for materials and supplies
  • Coordinates the work orders assignments to the maintenance techs team
  • Track and report on the status of supply inventory
  • Work with Engineering/Production to help resolve processing issues
  • Recommends measures to improve equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Supports projects to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of processes and work
  • Consults with the Maintenance supervisor to maintain alignment of responsibilities
  • Enforces and enhances CMMS utilization
  • Verifies the completion of work orders

    Required Education and Experiences
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Work Experience: 5+ years’ experience in industrial operations
  • Experience leading teams
  • Extensive hands-on experience, and a diverse set of skills, including technical proficiency, leadership, problem solving, communication, and organizational capabilities



  • Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience working with CMMS
  • Essential skills/knowledge: Understanding of GMP and OSHA standards
  • Strong computer skills: Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions
