The Manager of Store Labor Analytics is responsible for the creation, efficient budgeting, allocation, analysis, and management of Signet’s $500M+ store labor budget supporting 2300+ stores throughout North America. The manager oversees labor analyst and is involved in the interviewing/hiring process as needed. This role works closely with field leaders including Brand DVP (Store Divisional Vice-President), VPRO (Regional VPs) and DMs (District Managers) to assess and optimize hours of operation, census, and labor staffing levels. This role is responsible for Signet’s critical census management, including providing insight to census (headcount) opportunities. Additional duties leveraging their team include reporting and analytic support of all labor budget systems for upper management and field, ad hoc analysis and reporting as request, monthly labor budgeting and assumption review, testing opportunities and vacancy impact associated with store labor. This position is required to be in contact with other Store Support Center departments to ensure accurate information is available to management and field team members. The Manager WFM (Workforce Management) and Store Operations Labor reviews store specific sales and trends to help the store achieve sales goals within their labor constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute Signet’s labor strategy to maximize the use of labor dollars to drive sales and efficiencies.   Ensure Signet’s by-store labor allocation underpins Signet’s sales plan.  Create, manage and update data used in the monthly Field Labor Budgeting process. (Sales forecast, historical labor usage, special events and trends).  Intra-Signet relationships are critical to this first function, including FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), accounting, brand teams, ops mgt, MP&I (Merch Planning & Inventory), HR

  • Collaborate with Peer WFM Manager to coordinate on key inputs and outputs to/from Zebra/Reflexis Labor Tool

  • Provide key insights and analytics to drive results and decisions.  Supporting: complete various analysis & reporting which includes performance, analytics and updates.  Continued test & learn underpins this second function

  • Review and Respond to various Field requests regarding store specific payroll issues and labor budgeting requests.  Role is responsible for hours of operation strategy

  • Ad Hoc analysis & implementation and analysis of Field Labor initiatives

  • Design and implement new processes and reporting procedures to enable monitoring of labor usage and trending against budget and sales. Utilize reporting to identify opportunities to adjust budget to changing market needs

  • Manage a team of Labor Analysts. Responsible for staffing as well as performance and talent management to create a strong analyst bench and succession planning to support the growth and needs of the business

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a focus on finance or business

  • 5 years experience in financial analytics with at least 3 in retail/labor operational analytics preferred

  • Experience with labor allocation in a large retail environment, strongly preferred

  • Strong experience with Kronos, Zebra/Reflexis, and SAP Finance, a plus

  • Additional technical/other skills: Excel (expert), Word (proficient), PowerPoint (proficient), WFM tool (proficient), Business Objects or similar tool (proficient)

The salary range for this opportunity is $100,000- $115,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
