THE OPPORTUNITY
The Material Handler is responsible of all shipping and receiving materials along with warehouse placement and release to the production floor as needed.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain processes and procedures for shipping and receiving transactions.
• Maintain a warehousing process for proper storage and identification of all materials.
• Maintain an inventory control process to ensure the accurate counts of all materials.
• Maintain a process for handling the transfer of products to a 3rd party value add manufacturer and for their return back to Galvion.
• Follow and understand the process for the handling of scrap material.
• Ensure all of the inventory control and warehousing requirements are properly transacted in Galvion’s ERP system.
• Complete all quantity moves within an hour of picking materials as per work instructions.
• Material request forms required from TL or operators asking for material (this is to ensure that qty. moves are completed)
• Qty. Move or lack of material issues escalated to Warehouse Lead or Supervisor and ICA Daily
• Weekly cycle counts- All Liquids- All Raw Materials and AC warehouse items- Box and pallet count- Kanban Finishing count
• Willingness, flexibility and commitment required to succeed in a high demand, broad
responsibility, and start-up team environment.
• Hands-on: receiving, shipping, material movement, completing transactions into ERP,
calling/emailing suppliers, arranging logistics along with required administrative tasks to ensure proper operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or equivalent with directly applicable experience.
· Must hold a valid driver’s license and pass the DMV background check, if applicable
• 2+ years of Materials or Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience and willingness to work in a ‘hands on’ environment.
Ability to obtain a Forklift operator license
• Knowledge of purchasing, logistics, inventory control and shipping/receiving a must.
• Must be good with numbers and capable of writing legibly.
• Team-oriented.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems is a must.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must regularly lift and move up to 30 - 50 pounds
• Hearing, respiratory and eye protection MAY BE required.
