PROFILE OF CANDIDATE: 


The ideal candidate will have approximately five years of experience in marketing and a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, marketing, agriculture, animal science, or a related field. A working knowledge of the agriculture industry, preferably with experience in dairy cattle, is essential, as this role requires an understanding of industry dynamics to be successful. Strong oral and written communication skills, along with proven collaboration and organizational abilities, are also critical. We are seeking a dynamic self-starter looking for an exciting professional growth opportunity in the animal health and nutrition industry. 


Key Responsibilities: 


This role is responsible for supporting the growth of Alltech’s U.S. dairy business, serving as a strategic partner to the Alltech’s team and customers, and promoting our portfolio of products and services through multiple channels.  

 

Strategic Contribution and Implementation 

  • Responsible for contributing to and supporting the implementation of the overall marketing strategy and budget within Alltech’s U.S. dairy business to build brand awareness, sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead dairy marketing initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budget and scope while maintaining the highest standards of creativity and brand alignment. 
  • Lead the creation of external and internal marketing messaging (e.g., print, digital, website, blogs, social media, paid media campaigns, etc.).
  • Lead in the effective execution of national and regional tradeshows, events and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Lead in the execution of national and regional marketing campaigns geared toward key customers and segments.
  • Regularly communicate marketing plans, campaigns and tools to the commercial team and leadership.
  • Regularly evaluate ROI/ROE to ensure positive results for Alltech and its customers/partners, providing recommendations to the head of marketing and commercial team on how to maximize benefit.

 

Competitor & Market Analyses: Maintain a pulse on competitor and market trends within the dairy sector, regularly reporting and recommending opportunities to keep our brand relevant to customers and at the forefront of innovation.  

  • Continuous curiosity around new and innovative marketing strategies and tactics that can elevate our brand and better serve our customers.

 

Collaboration & Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Develop strong working relationships with other functional areas within the regions and with the global marketing teams.
  • Develop a relationship and support collaboration with industry stakeholders and key organizations.
  • Support coordination of communications between global/corporate, local and regional teams.

 

Qualifications: 

  • ~5 years of experience in marketing, animal industry or agriculture-related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in agriculture, marketing, business, animal science or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with all company levels from executives and senior management to outside partners and support team.
  • Ability to lead through influence and serve as a role model of our culture, values and professional expectations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel when required.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.

 

Job Environment: 

  • Full time, in-office
  • Standard working hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. However, must have a flexible schedule and be able to manage events taking place on evenings and weekends as well as during normal business hours due to Alltech’s global footprint
  • Ability to travel domestically (approximate travel: 70% in office, 30% travel to events/trade shows/customers/sales support)
