Job Summary
The Storeroom Technician/Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the storeroom, warehouse, or supply area. This position plays a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring materials are properly organized, and supporting the overall efficiency of the supply chain. The Storeroom Clerk works closely with purchasing, production, and maintenance teams to ensure timely and accurate inventory availability.
Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; match packing slips to purchase orders▪ Accurately document and enter inventory data into inventory management systems
▪ Store items in an orderly and accessible manner within storerooms or warehouse areas
▪ Maintain proper labeling and identification of stock items
▪ Issue materials and supplies to internal departments as requested, ensuring proper
documentation
▪ Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, overstock, or damaged materials
▪ Perform regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits
▪ Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom areas in compliance with safety
standards
▪ Coordinate returns to vendors and process necessary documentation
▪ Assist in the development and improvement of inventory control procedures
▪ Meet with vendors as needed to research purchasing decisions
▪ Assist Packaging Department with special project work, including Latrobe facility projects
▪ Occasional trave
Minimum Qualifications
▪ High school diploma or GED certification required
▪ Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook,
SharePoint
▪ Proficiency in or ability to learn Maximo software
▪ Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively
and professionally with co-workers, vendors and customers
▪ Must be available for overtime as needed
