About the Role 

We are looking to onboard a motivated Business Development Manager who will play a key role in expanding our reach and establishing strong client relationships, driving growth for ComAve in Barcelona. 

You will join our dynamic and fast-paced sales team to help redefine the delivery landscape for restaurants. This is a hands-on role where you will manage your territory as if it were your own business owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to client onboarding. 

  • Position: Business Development Manager 
  • Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid) 
  • Ideal Start Date: September 2025 (first week)
  • Languages Required: Spanish and English (both essential) + Catalan is a plus

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, outreach, and leveraging existing relationships. 
  • Cold Calling & Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients via calls, emails, and walk-ins to secure meetings. 
  • Walk-Ins: Conduct in-person visits to prospective restaurant clients weekly to build relationships and explore business opportunities. 
  • Client Presentations: Deliver impactful presentations and product demos to potential clients, clearly communicating ComAve’s value. 
  • Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end sales process from initial contact and follow-ups to closing deals and supporting onboarding. 
  • Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and openings of new restaurants/brands. 
  • Proposal Development: Prepare tailored commercial proposals and collaborate with leadership on terms and closing strategies. 

Requirements

Skills & Experience 

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). 
  • 2–3 years of proven experience in a BDM or sales role, preferably in SaaS, POS (e.g., Last.App, Otter, GrubTech...), or food delivery/logistics companies (e.g., Deliverect, Glovo, Uber Eats, Just.Eat...). 
  • Demonstrated success in outbound sales: prospecting, cold calling, and managing the full sales cycle. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Experience engaging with C-level executives and closing high-value deals. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and sales productivity tools. 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. 
  • Experience working remotely in agile teams.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment. 

Nice-to-Have Skills 

  • Background in the hospitality, foodservice, or restaurant tech sectors. 
  • Previous work in startups or fast-paced environments.
  • A structured approach to building a commercial pipeline from scratch.
