SCS Energy is looking for a Strategic Marketing Manager to play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s marketing strategy to drive growth, diversification, brand leadership, and client engagement. This role is responsible for aligning marketing initiatives with business objectives, developing and leading go-to-market strategy, and supporting the development of thought leadership and brand visibility in key markets. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, technical industry understanding, a collaborative mindset, and hands-on marketing execution capabilities. Experience preferred in the engineering consulting industry, professional services, branding strategy, account-based marketing, market research, lead generation, social media, and marketing campaign management. This position will report to the Business Unit Director in a hybrid work environment based in the Long Beach, Ca. office.
How you can make an impact:Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Partner with the Business Unit Director to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic marketing plan that supports the SCS Energy business unit growth initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, client insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing and business development strategies.
- Lead development of annual marketing goals, KPIs, and budgets; monitor and report on performance.
Brand Development & Awareness
- Enhance brand positioning across strategic markets.
- Oversee integrated marketing campaigns that increase awareness and reinforce the company's thought leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency across channels and platforms.
Content, Communications & Digital
- Lead creation and distribution of high-impact content including white papers, case studies, videos, and social media.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives.
Go-to-Market & Client Engagement
- Support go-to-market strategy for service offerings.
- Develop marketing assets and tools to support business development teams in proposal and capture efforts.
- Drive client engagement programs including webinars, conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with SCS Energy team members and manage external vendors/agencies as needed.
- Partner with business line leaders, subject matter experts, and sales team to ensure alignment on priorities and messaging.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven marketing culture.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in marketing or business development is required. 15 years of experience is prefered.
- Experience working with a professional services organization is preferred.
- Must be skilled in web analytics tools and marketing software, including CRM programs. Proficient in social media platforms, webinar broadcasting, video creation, and technical publications.
