Description
HOURS: Eight hour shift M-F within 6:00 am to 6:00 pm MST operating hours.
JOB PURPOSE:
Support and guide clients through the implementation of all Edupoint products.
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the Project Manager and Director of Data Services in the implementation of all new Edupoint customers. Ensure that Edupoint’s implementation and data migration methodology is adhered to in all implementations. Manage the data conversion process in its entirety; ensuring accurate and timely data migration is executed as per the Data Conversion Plan and/or Implementation Project Plans. Own the execution of data loading, data analysis, troubleshooting, identifying solutions to data load and data integrity issues, reviewing and guiding implementation teams on the results and status of data migration activities.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage and perform all data conversion/migration duties required during implementation, with direction from the project Data Lead which include preliminary data reviews, execution of data loading using assigned loading tools, reviewing and analyzing results of the data loads, troubleshooting data load and data quality issues, leading the collective data load team through the results and analysis of all test and Go Live loading activities
- Works with Data Lead to provide clear and concise data conversion exception logs, error reports, data check results, and overall conversion summary reports to Edupoint customers
- Assist with all other technical duties related to implementation, such as system installation/setup, hardware configuration and 3rd party software integration
- Become a Subject Matter Expert in all technical areas required for the data migration component of new implementations
- Identify and proactively address any potential data risks to the project, as it relates to data conversion and other technical areas
- Maintain timely communication with customers, product specialists, project managers, and the Data Services Director throughout the Implementation phase
- Facilitate and ensure adherence to project plans based on Edupoint’s implementation methodology for all implementations
- Execute all activities on a timely basis as dictated by the Data Conversion Plan and Implementation Project Plans
- Report project status to the Director of Data Services on a regular basis
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS-KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
*Knowledge:
- K-12 education knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of student information systems a plus
*Skills:
- Extensive experience with database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle)
- Extensive experience in the creation of SQL scripts for the purpose of manipulating and inserting data
- Excellent verbal/written communication required
- Attention to detail required
*Abilities:
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks.
- Ability to travel: 25% of working hours spent traveling
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Microsoft Certifications (Windows, IIS, MSSQL) preferred
Oracle certifications a plus

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies, occasionally lifting files, objects or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, copier and other office equipment as necessary. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity necessary to work extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast paced and project intensive. Travel in the performance of duties may be required.
