Job Overview

The Indirect Spend Commodity Agent will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies for non-production goods and services, including categories such as IT, facilities, MRO, professional services, and logistics. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures cost-effective, high-quality service delivery across the enterprise. The Indirect Spend Commodity Agent partners with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs and drive value across the organization.

Highlights of your role

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, Facilities, Finance, legal) to understand purchasing requirements and align sourcing initiatives accordingly.
• Implement sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories to optimize cost, service, and risk.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives by executing Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), or Request for Quote (RFQ) processes to identify and select optimal suppliers.
• Negotiate and implement contractual terms and supply agreements with vendors to meet service specifications and delivery against business objectives
• Analyze spend data and market trends to identify savings and sourcing opportunities and put a plan together to achieve those goals.
• Maintain accurate supplier and contract data in sourcing and ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Provide regular reporting on category performance, savings, and strategic initiatives.
• Support enterprise initiatives such as sustainability, supplier diversity, and risk mitigation.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• 7-10+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a focus on indirect spend.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing contracts and supplier relationships across multiple indirect categories.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and sourcing tools.

Also want to make sure you have

• Experience working in an indirect procurement role in a multi-site or global organization.
• Familiarity with contract law, service level agreements, and vendor risk management.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, PMP) are a plus.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
