oversees Finxact core and Infinant orchestration platforms, and serves as the operational backbone
for embedded banking.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Own daily execution of ACH, Fedwire, FedNow, RDC (technical side), RTP, and future rails
including faster payments and cross-border integrations.
• Maintain operational alignment with all regulatory and network requirements (NACHA, UCC4A, Reg
E, FedLine standards).
• Supervise exception processing, anomaly detection, dual controls, callback verification, and
real-time queue handling.
• Serve as operational owner of Finxact (core) and Infinant (orchestration) platforms.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to configure posting logic, middleware orchestration,
and fintech-facing APIs.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and audit readiness for all embedded banking
transactions.
• Oversee the day-to-day operational support of fintech programs, including ledger management,
settlement support, transaction troubleshooting, and issue escalation.
• Work with Onboarding Specialists and Analysts to bring new partners live efficiently and support
SLA compliance.
Develop and enforce first-line risk programs, including anomaly detection, KRIs, QC sampling,
and self-testing.
• Maintain control documentation for exams (ACH audit, FedLine compliance, BSA impacts).
• Serve as exam liaison for payment-related walkthroughs and audit responses.
Fraud Prevention & Control Systems
• The Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of preventive
and detective control systems to protect against fraud across all payment channels, including ACH,
Fedwire, FedNow, RTP, and embedded banking APIs.
• Controls include deploying rule-based and behavior-based monitoring systems, managing fraud
alert queues, and collaborating with the Fraud, InfoSec, and Compliance teams to ensure controls
are risk-aligned and timely.
• Establish escalation protocols, maintain documentation for examiners, and drive continuous
enhancement of controls as threat vectors evolve. They will also lead post-incident reviews and
ensure lessons learned are embedded into both process and platform.
Team Leadership & Specialization
• Manage teams including:
o Payment Ops (ACH, Wire, FedNow)
o Platform Operations (Finxact/Infinant)
o Fraud/Anomaly Monitoring (in partnership with Risk)
• Build career paths for Analysts, and develop SMEs across payment channels or fintech
programs.
Qualifications
• 8–10+ years in payment operations, BaaS support, or embedded finance execution roles, with
increasing leadership responsibility.
• Deep working knowledge of ACH, Fedwire, and real-time payment environments.
• Experience managing API-driven platforms, core banking systems (Finxact ideal), or orchestration
layers (e.g., Infinant, Treasury Prime).
• Proven ability to lead fintech-facing operational support and develop scalable
controls.
• Strong collaboration across departments (Product, Risk, Compliance, Tech).
• Experience transitioning from a BaaS provider (e.g., Unit, Synctera, Treasury Prime) to
internalized payment infrastructure.
• Prior regulatory or audit exposure (NACHA, FedLine, FDIC exams).
• SQL/BI/reporting tool familiarity for investigating breaks and platform behavior.
