Position Description
The ideal team member must be able to prioritize, delegate, and effectively interact with internal and external auditors, administrators, faculty, staff, and students.

Major/Essential Functions
- Responsible for aspects of institutional research integrity and compliance, including oversight of the Institutional Review Board, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, Institutional Biosafety Committee, as well as the Quality Improvement Program and Quality Improvement Review Board. May also include as-needed ad hoc committees like COIRC, Research Misconduct, and Compliance Audit Committee.
- Supervise the Research Integrity Office team, providing guidance and oversight as needed, which will also include the collaboration and coordination of the team working with institutional investigators.
- Develop, oversee and promote programs to support a campus culture of responsible research conduct among all members of the TTUHSC community, which includes attendance at meetings such as President's Cabinet, Executive Council, President's Advisory Board, Research Council, Academic Council, Clinical Council, or People and Operations Council.
- Serve as Research Integrity Officer for TTUHSC with regard to allegations of scientific misconduct and the Chairperson of the TTUHSC Research Compliance Committee.
- Act as primary contact for needed information from and assistance to the Office of General Counsel, Institutional Compliance Office, Office of Audit Services and other institutional and system-wide compliance groups as requested. This will also include developing and reviewing inter-institutional agreements to ensure that institutional policies and state and federal regulations are being followed.

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated management experience in an area that entails regulatory compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of federal regulations related to research compliance to include regulations related to humans, animals, select agents, financial conflicts of interest, etc.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external auditors, administrators, faculty, staff, and students
- Demonstrated experience in managing personnel and large projects.

- Provide assistance to colleagues at TTU, TTUHSC El Paso, and elsewhere throughout the TTU System regarding issues related to research integrity and research compliance.
