Job Title: Welding Robot Operator, 1st Shift
SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to operate the robotic weld equipment to weld fabricated pipe components, ensure product productivity standards are achieved, meet product specifications and quality requirements and assist Welders in tooling set-up.
WAGE TYPE: Hourly
FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt
$17.00 - $20.00/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Load and position components into weld tool fixtures independently or in tandem with other weld robot operators or welders.
- Unload finished assemblies from fixtures as weld process is completed.
- Monitor robot weld performance and uptime against product productivity standards.
- Confirm form and fit of finished products by utilizing check fixtures.
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate counts of individual manufacturing order records through MRP system data entry.
- Move components and finished goods within work cell to enable continuous flow of material in and out of work cell in conjunction with the materials warehouse.
- Clamping, holding, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical/quality requirements of a welded final product
- Monitor Welding robot executing the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts
- Examining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirements
- In charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weld.
- Work within a team environment.
- Good mechanical knowledge. Ability to read blueprints is desirable.
- Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
- Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
Expected: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Minimum of two years related manufacturing or related work experience.
Preferred: 2 years production experience in metal fabrication environment.
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
Other Skills:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
