Hybrid Help Desk Specialist bei Road Machinery & Supplies Co.

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Help Desk Specialist to join its team at its Savage, MN, location. In this role, you will be responsible for field, log, diagnose, and resolve or redirect all internal and external customer calls/emails/walkups (incidents) to SPOC (Single Point of Contact). This position may assist in developing and delivering training and tools (tips, knowledge base, etc.) in the use of certain computer hardware and software applications. In addition, solicit feedback from customers on the operation of the IT Team, and participate in the evolution of our team's processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Understand, diagnose, and resolve computer, office phone, mobile device, and software incidents.
• Record all request/incidents and resolutions in the request/incident tracking system.
• Assist manager in performing analysis of incidents, identify opportunities for improvement, and coordinate with manager or lead to implement improvements.
• Prepare and maintain user tools such as knowledge base articles and user self help.
• Gain an understanding of the operation and support of 3rd party software applications used by RMS.
• Fix installed software (configuration changes, software install/uninstall, etc.).
• Occasionally take the lead on specific subject matter research and training/tools development, and manager will oversee.
• Up to 10% travel.
• Other duties/tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications/Skills:

• No experience needed for a 2 yr or 4 yr Degree or 2 Years of experience with High School Diploma/GED.
• Personal Attributes: Achievement Orientation, Attention to Detail, Customer Focus, Even Temperament, Problem Solving.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and Active Directory.
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.
• Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently.

• Possess the capability to engage with customers, co-workers, and vendors in a respectful manner.
