Our Opportunity: Production Manager

Status:                                   Full Time Night Shift 

Hours:                                   7pm - 7am

Schedule:                              2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)


Position Summary:
Assist in developing and implementing all operational and safety policies and procedures within a manufacturing facility, ensuring that production and all staff members maintain compliance with all plant-wide and legal regulations. Establish, implement, and maintain plant policies and procedures. Responsible for plant production goals and foster a well-trained and motivated staff.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expected to be at least 30 minutes early for shift to download with previous shift, prepare for their shift meeting, and perform the pre-shift meeting with their team with goal to communicate issues occurring on previous shift and set expectation/schedule for their shift.
  • Lead by example with focus on Quality Cases.
  • Manage supervisors’ schedules ensuring coverage.
  • Collaborate with all operations departments to ensure a one-team mindset working towards common goals.
  • Track key indicators of production team’s performance including safety, efficiency, waste, downtime, labor costs, and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure GMP compliance and safety standards are communicated through training.
  • Take appropriate actions to investigate safety concerns to maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure machinery and equipment is well maintained and running safely according to specifications.
  • Ensure the plant meets all government, customer, and third-party audit requirements and take corrective actions according to the audit results as appropriate.
  • Provide direction to assist your team with troubleshooting & problem-solving issues as they arise.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff by communicating performance expectations; monitoring and appraising performance; providing support, coaching, training, and disciplining and enforcing corporate policies and procedures to Production Supervisors and team members as needed.
  • Schedule and conduct production meetings. 
  • Attend scheduled trainings and meetings. 
  • Project participation or leading continuous improvement, TPM, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing projects to maximize profit and minimize cost.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
