Job Description
Proper Hospitality is hiring a strategic sales leader to oversee group sales revenue across multiple properties. This role supports both enterprise-level growth and personal KPI targets by managing national account strategy, coaching on-property teams, and driving demand through proactive outreach and market presence.
Position Summary
We are seeking a results-oriented Corporate Director, Group Sales to lead portfolio-wide group revenue growth. This position will guide sales performance across hotels, secure multi-property agreements, and foster consistent execution through training, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
- Drive group room revenue growth from key accounts across all properties, meeting or exceeding annual sales targets and KPIs
- Lead strategic account planning for group segment with on-property group sellers
- Mentor and coach on-property sales teams through monthly trainings, performance standards, and site-specific pacing as it relates to Group
- Represent Proper Hospitality at industry events, client meetings, and brand activations
- Develop and maintain a 12-month need period calendar for each property
- Partner with Marketing on group sales collateral, brand campaigns, and familiarization trips
- Oversee group pace, pickup, and lead volume; deploy tactical offers when needed
- Monitor CRM and sales system hygiene (Delphi.fdc, TripleSeat, Salesforce)
- Attend property-level revenue and GRC meetings; contribute insights to optimize group performance
- Collaborate with Revenue, Operations, and Events teams to align strategy across departments
- Report monthly on KPI progress and account health to the SVP of Sales and executive team
Qualification Standards
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven ability to close high-value group and event contracts, ideally across multiple markets or brands
- Strong coaching presence with the ability to influence hotel GMs, ownership groups, and internal stakeholders
- Confident presenting at executive level; experienced in both strategic and tactical execution
- High proficiency in revenue analysis, lead forecasting, and channel mix strategy
- Strong CRM discipline; advanced knowledge of Delphi.fdc, Salesforce, and related tools
- Willingness to travel regularly
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of group sales leadership experience in the lifestyle or luxury hotel space
- Previous corporate or multi-property experience highly preferred
Physical Demands
- Must be able to travel regularly, attend site visits, and participate in client-facing events
- Position requires standard office mobility and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)

- Hybrid role based in Santa Monica, CA
- Work occurs in office settings, hotel environments, and external client-facing events

Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary Range: $150,000–$160,000, plus performance-based bonus tied to group revenue targets
