About the Role
iCapital is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to help lead various buildouts of the alternative investments platform at iCapital. You will be working in a collaborative, results-driven environment with smart and hardworking teammates who are motivated to solve fun and complex industry-wide problems. You will be working directly with end users and clients to bring scale and efficiencies across different business processes, as well as various user experiences for key critical online functions. This is an opportunity to utilize the latest technologies and innovative solutions, with room to grow and broaden your responsibilities as the company grows. You will own, lead and deliver various solutions with direct oversight of product building, largely defining and influencing others in your own space, from identifying unmet needs to defining requirements, writing user stories, developing project communication plans, and testing product features. Responsibilities
- Lead engagement with end users and clients to identify and deliver solutions to core functional areas and user experiences.
- Define product requirements by writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for software engineers.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of product feature development from conception to launch, including testing and iteration.
- Embrace a fast-paced, agile development environment, deploying quickly to learn and iterate based on feedback.
- Test and review online product upgrades and ensure flawless execution
- Own the product roadmap for specific features or segments of the platform, determining prioritization and ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and align product vision and strategy.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project communication plans, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams such as UX Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and other product lines.
- Investigate bugs and, when appropriate, identify tactical solutions to production issues impacting users.
- Monitor the performance of product features post-launch and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team to maintain high standards of work, product quality, and communication.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape from a business and legal / compliance perspective
- Step outside the product realm when appropriate to contribute to the team and overall company mission.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, preferably within fintech, wealth management, or related industries.
- Strong analytical skills, natural problem solver, with a proven track record of solving complex, ambiguous problems and pushing initiatives to conclusions through innovative solutions.
- Expertise with QA testing, comfort with leveraging SQL, and ability to generate conclusions based on data.
- Proven track record of managing technical teams and projects, organizing requests and prioritizing.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to write comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building relationships to gain buy in and achieve business results.
- A willingness and initiative to become an expert in the alternative investments space, understanding both the product intricacies and wider industry to drive informed decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a results-driven, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience with agile methodologies and a mindset that embraces quick deployment, learning, and iteration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage executive management for ideas and resolutions.
- A customer-centric approach, with experience engaging directly with clients to gather insights and feedback and a knack for quick and thoughtful problem solving.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing demands and timelines.
- Desire to grow and take on increasing responsibilities within a rapidly expanding company.
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $160,000 depending on level and experience. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
