Wellfleet, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, seeks an experienced Enrollment & Billing Specialist to support the Wellfleet Student Health block of business.

The Enrollment & Billing Specialist is a key player in the service Wellfleet provides to customers.  This position is responsible for assisting with accurate and timely enrollment & billing processes for the Student Health Insurance Products (SHIP). This position is also responsible for coordinating with internal and external parties on inquiries related to billing and enrollment reconciliation. The Enrollment & Billing specialist is responsible for coordination with enrollment specialists to confirm reconciliation is complete to begin invoice generation and premium collection efforts. In addition, they will communicate with internal teams and departments as well as external brokers and schools, to issue invoices in support of premium collection. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of student health enrollment practices.

In this role, you will…

Be responsible for accurate and efficient transfer of electronic enrollment into the various enrollment and billing systems

Process manual enrollment as needed

Responsible for enrollment reconciliation of enrollment, producing invoices, analyzing data reports accurately and timely

Work with the client services team, sales team, and external parties to resolve enrollment and billing issues

Assist with accurate and timely reporting of invoicing and collection related transactions

Audit enrollment and billing data for accuracy and completeness

Assist with developing and maintaining documentation for processing electronic enrollment and generating invoices

Research and respond to customers (internal and external) by phone, email, or other forms of communication

Research issues or concerns, and escalate to appropriate parties to determine resolutions and follow up to ensure a response in given in a timely manner

Assist in resolving customer issues related to enrollment and billing to represent the Wellfleet brand

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

We are looking for candidates with…

Associate’s degree in related field with a minimum of 3 years' enrollment or billing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with internal and external customers

Ability to work independently and as a member of the team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and time management skills, including thorough and complete follow-up on all time sensitive items

Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines

Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve, conduct thorough research and provide issue resolutions

Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills

Knowledge of student health enrollment practices is preferred.

This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.  Salary is one component of Wellfleet’s total compensation and benefits package, which includes medical, vision and dental insurance options, life and accident insurance, 401(k), and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
