What You Must Bring to This Role
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in materials, mechanical, chemical or industrial engineering
- Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, solid design software (i.e. Solidworks), statistical analysis software (i.e. Minitab), and QMS software (i.e. Master Control)
- Ability to independently set up experiments and monitor progress
- Analytical nature, responds positively to challenges and is a problem solver
- Ability to produce technical documentation such as work procedures and test reports
How You'll Make an Impact
- Responsible for assisting various engineering disciplines in a wide variety of engineering initiatives and projects
- Focus on the successful completion of a technical project or process improvement, with documentation of results
- Develop an understanding of Praxis products and processes
- Work with senior level engineers and management to interpret and analyze data
- Execute engineering studies under instruction and guidance of Manufacturing Engineering Manager
- Monitor daily production activity and provide engineering support to troubleshoot issues
- Conduct time studies and process audits to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action implementation
- Help design and modify fixtures, tooling and equipment to improve production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Facilities and Production
- Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas
- Assist in developing, testing, and implementing new manufacturing processes and equipment
- Participate in process validation and documentation in accordance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.

Working Conditions & Physical Efforts
- Work is performed in a Production environment
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit for a prolonged period of time
- Visual functions being those of near vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with leadership & clients
- Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment
