Abonmarche is seeking a Regional Director in our Fort Wayne, IN office.
Job Summary:
Manage, organize, design, and execute Civil Engineering projects for municipal and/or private development clients. This role focuses on public infrastructure projects for governmental entities, private development projects and involves strategic leadership, team development, project oversight, and client relationship management, including business development support. This role is critical for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, and driving business growth
Responsibilities:
- Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for public officials and agencies, ensuring client satisfaction and understanding of infrastructure needs
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders, public officials and firm leadership
- Represent the firm at industry events and in public forums
- Strategic Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, surveyors and other disciplines, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Provide program-level leadership for engineering teams working on public infrastructure projects and private development projects
- Support and maintain the strategic direction of governmental engineering operations in alignment with company goals
- Implement standards and procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Project Oversight
- Manage and oversee the planning, design, and execution of governmental and development engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, safety, and zoning codes
- Assist project managers and resolve issues to meet client scope, schedule, and budget
- Oversee project budgets and resource allocation
- Business Development
- Identify and support the pursuit of new business opportunities within the region
- Support the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and project contracts
Education:
- Bachelor�s degree in civil engineering.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Indiana Professional Engineer License Required
Work Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of municipal consulting work experience.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Experience in client management, preparing and meeting budgets and schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills as the position will require direct contact with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
