Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a collaborative and compassionate Special Education Instructional Assistant
to support students in the Resource Program at Eagle Point Middle School. This role supports students
with mild to moderate disabilities, providing targeted academic interventions, classroom assistance,
and small group instruction in a structured and supportive learning environment.

About the Role
The Resource Special Education Instructional Assistant works under the direction of licensed special education staff to implement
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), provide academic and behavioral support, and promote student progress in both
general education and special education settings. This may include working one-on-one with students, leading small group
instruction, supporting classroom accommodations, collecting progress data, and assisting with student supervision.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with middle school students, has a passion for helping students succeed, a
nd can adapt easily to the varying needs of learners. A supportive team environment and ongoing training are part of the package.
Who We’re Looking For
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following: two years of postsecondary education,
an associate’s degree or higher, or a passing score on the district’s reading, writing, and math assessment. CPR/First Aid certification
and CPI training are required (training will be provided if needed). A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.
Experience working with students who have disabilities and behavioral challenges is preferred. Candidates should be flexible, team-oriented,
and comfortable navigating a busy school environment.

Position Title: Instructional Assistant - Special Education (Resource)
Placement: Eagle Point Middle School, Eagle Point, Oregon
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract Days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day
Salary Range: $18.87–$26.85 per hour depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position
Includes an excellent benefits package, including 6% PERS retirement "employee contribution" paid by the District,
and tuition reimbursement available
Position will begin September 2, 2025, with screening to begin immediately.
