Senior Desktop Technician - Microsoft Environment

Golden Sun provides a range of services including patient billing, insurance and claims processing, revenue recovery, quality reporting, IT security, and maintenance and management of electronic health records.

Job Summary:
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for Windows-based desktops, laptops, and peripherals in both clinical and corporate environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and healthcare-specific applications (e.g., EHR/EMR systems).
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, or similar platforms for endpoint management, software deployment, and patching.
- Respond promptly to service requests and incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and operations.
- Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure IT solutions support healthcare workflows efficiently and securely.
- Maintain system documentation, technical procedures, and asset inventory.
- Implement and support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Participate in IT infrastructure and upgrade projects, migrations, and hardware refreshes.
- Mentor junior technicians and act as a point of escalation for complex support issues.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other healthcare compliance standards in all technical work.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience supporting users in a healthcare or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience with device management tools (Intune, MECM/SCCM) and remote support platforms.
- Familiarity with basic networking and Windows Server concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, customer service orientation, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical healthcare setting.
