Job Description 

Social Services Support 

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt 

Reports to: Senior Advisor Social Services 

Department: Operation Restoration 

About Operation Restoration: 

Operation Restoration (OR) supports women and girls impacted by incarceration to recognize their full potential, restore their lives, and discover new possibilities. At OR, we focus on advocacy, education, economic mobility, and true economic equity for our staff, clients, and community. Our goal is to remove financial incentives for incarceration/detention to increase investments in social services, education, and healthcare for all people. Incarceration is defined as confinement in prison, jail, immigrant, juvenile or military detention, or a deportation facility. Directly impacted women and girls are those that are or have been incarcerated, arrested, are on probation and/or parole. 

About the Position: 

Under the direction of the Senior Advisor Social Services, The Social Services Support staff will perform tasks as needed to assist in the following areas: Social Services, Operation Education, and Safety and Freedom Fund. This includes: offering support in The Closet, administrative tasks outlined by Education and administrative tasks outlined by Safety and Freedom Fund. 

Duties & Responsibilities for Social Services Support: 

● Provides outstanding customer service to all clients visiting the Closet. 

● Keeps the clothes, shoes, and other items organized in the Closet. 

● Makes sure each visitor to the Closet signs in and provides a monthly count of visits to The Closet to Social Services Lead.

  • Picks up community donations twice a week or as needed.

● Receives, inspects, and organizes donations. Prior to putting clothes and shoes on the racks, any items with holes or that appear to be tattered will be discarded. 

● Ensures that all excess items are stacked neatly behind the curtains. 

● Cleans the Operation Restoration office and empties trash daily. 

 Cleans the microwave and refrigerator every Friday by 5 pm. 

● Checks the classroom to spot clean and empty trash daily. 

● Completes Operation Girls administrative tasks as assigned.


Duties & Responsibilities for Operation Education/Safety and Freedom Fund

 ● Organize and assist staff in ways that optimize procedures and practices. 

● Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner. 

Desired Qualifications and Skills: 

● Be detail-oriented with strong organization skills. 

● Ability to multi-task and problem-solve. 

● Be comfortable taking appropriate initiative.

● Commitment to criminal justice reform. 

● Excellent computer skills. Regular use of Microsoft Office and Google products.

● Ability to work well with diverse individuals and groups, balance needs and employ objectivity. 

● Ability to manage timelines, prioritize multiple products and meet deadlines. ● Ability to communicate effectively. 

● Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.

● Flexibility to meet organizational changes.
