POSITION SUMMARY:

The Membership Coordinator works to support State and Local Leagues in maintaining and growing their membership. A major component of this role is supporting members and League leaders in the technical aspects of using the new membership management system, ChapterSpot. This technical support will include one-on-one troubleshooting as well as training and facilitation on the use of the system. 

Beyond technical support, this person will help the League advance member recruitment efforts and work to promote a culture of belonging for all League members, including coordinating the resolution of member concerns. 


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Answer emails and phone calls from members and League leaders about use of ChapterSpot

· Provide live training to League leaders and create/edit training tools about use of ChapterSpot

· Facilitate membership dues flow between Leagues, especially for check-paying members

· Coordinate communication of member concerns/complaints

· Track and follow up on responses to ensure resolution of member concerns/complaints

· Assists with membership recruitment and retention

· Help Leagues transfer and maintain ChapterSpot websites

· Facilitate inter-League information sharing

· Provide member appreciation tools to Leagues

· Maintain and update internal League records

· Handle special projects at the direction of the Senior Manager, Membership

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience working in membership support or customer service. Nonprofit experience preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Enthusiastic, positive attitude, strong work ethic and team player essential.

· Strong customer-service orientation.

· Demonstrated experience in database navigation, digital records management and filtering data lists for enterprise-wide people management software (E.g. Salesforce) 

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritize execution of multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.

· Meticulous approach to tasks.

· Flexibility and adaptability to change.

· Must be energetic, self-starting, and dedicated.

· Solid presentation skills.

· Experience providing technical training a plus.

· Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience with rolling out new systems a plus.

· Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-level organization a plus. 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The person in this position is primarily sedentary and needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery. The person must also be available to travel and walk longer distances to offices and events. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, and computer printer.
