We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse for a long-term substitute position to cover an employee on leave, supporting multiple school districts and sites. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting the health and well-being of students, providing comprehensive healthcare services, and fostering a safe and healthy school environment.

Education and Experience: ~ A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college ~ Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and have knowledge and experience in advanced first aid principles. ~ Classroom experience instructing children and adults. ~ One year experience in school or community health. Certificates & Licenses: ~ Must possess a valid California driver’s license ~ Current California Registered Nurse license ~ Possession of or eligible for a California credential with an authorization as school nurse ~ Must possess a valid Public Health Nurse certificate. ~ Must possess a valid Audiometric certificate. ~ Must possess a valid CPR adult and child certificate. Instructor certificate desired.

$64,123 - $117,839 (steps 1-25) annually DOE prorated on FTE. Maximum for initial placement (step 11) $94,918.

The following requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance: Criminal Background clearance Valid Tuberculosis (TB) clearance Copy of immunization record of vaccinations for Measles (MMR), Pertussis (Whooping Cough – Tdap), and annual influenza vaccine for compliance under SB 792 – Vaccinations for Child Care Workers at licensed centers
