Position Summary:
 
The HR Generalist will serve as a key Human Resources contact for the company’s employees providing hands-on support for a workforce of approximately 380 employees in multiple states. This role is responsible for a wide range of Human Resources functions, with a primary focus on benefits, onboarding / offboarding and HR administration.  
 
HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support across various HR functions. 
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs including heath, dental, vision, life, disability and flexible spending accounts (HSA and FSA)
  • Reconcile monthly insurance billing
  • Organize and conduct benefits orientation and new hire onboarding sessions
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment for benefits
  • Develop and support wellness initiatives
  • Administer employee leaves, including FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability, personal leave, and other applicable leave types, in accordance with federal and state laws. 
  • Manage employee records, benefits enrollment, and HRIS data integrity 
  • Facilitate semi-annual employee performance review process
  • Respond to employees’ queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the resolution of work-related problems, escalating complex issues to the HR Manager as needed 
  • Provide backup support for payroll as needed 
  • Other HR support as needed 
 
 
HR Generalist Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a relevant field is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as ADP WorkforceNow, BambooHR, Paycom or similar system is preferred
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities.
