The Service Manager is responsible for managing and leading the service department to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to customers. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing a team of service technicians, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience in the [industry, e.g., automotive, HVAC, etc.] service sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of service technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely and efficient completion of service requests.
- Develop and implement service procedures, standards, and best practices to optimize service delivery.
- Monitor service performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct rig inspections and quarterly vehicle inspections and conduct all new hire orientations.
- Promote a culture of safety within the service department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent at minimum
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in service management, preferably in the [industry, e.g., automotive, HVAC, etc.] sector.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in [industry-specific software/tools, e.g., CRM systems, service management software].
- CDL is preferred
