Location: Ashland, OR (onsite preferred) | Department: Marketing & Sales | Status: Full-Time, Year-Round | Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is seeking a tech-savvy, detail-driven Marketing Automation & Operations Specialist to help us connect with audiences in smarter, more strategic ways. If you love blending creativity with data, streamlining processes, and building engaging customer journeys, this role is for you.

The Role You’ll Play

You’ll be our in-house power user for Prospect2 (Active Campaign) and Tessitura (CRM), designing automation flows that attract, retain, and delight patrons. You’ll also be the operational heartbeat of the marketing department—coordinating digital ad campaigns, managing marketing systems, and keeping our financial and project workflows running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Design & Manage Automations: Build targeted, high-impact email and SMS campaigns—from pre- and post-show messages to upsells and reengagement flows—using Prospect2 and Tessitura.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with creative, development, IT, and other departments to align campaigns and share insights.
  • Coordinate Digital Advertising: Serve as the main contact for our digital marketing partners, track creative requests, and ensure ads meet specs and deadlines.
  • Support Data-Driven Decisions: Generate marketing and sales performance reports, manage audience research requests, and keep CRM data clean and reliable.
  • Oversee Department Operations: Manage expense reconciliation, maintain organized records in AirTable, and streamline workflows in Asana.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, data management, communications, business, or related fields.
  • Bring 2+ years’ experience in data management/analytics or CRM administration, with proven ability to lead in this area.
  • Are highly skilled with Tessitura CRM and Active Campaign/Prospect2, and can train others on these tools.
  • Communicate clearly, manage time effectively, and excel at juggling multiple priorities.
  • Have a passion for emerging digital platforms and audience engagement strategies.
  • Know industry regulations (CAN SPAM, CCPA, GDPR, CTIA, etc.) and apply them to your work.
  • Bonus points for experience in the cultural, tourism, or entertainment sectors.

Organizational Background

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) was founded in 1935 in Ashland, OR, and has grown from a three-day festival of two plays to a nationally renowned theatre arts organization that presents a rotating repertory season of up to 10 plays and musicals, including illuminating interpretations of Shakespeare, other enduring classics, and new works. OSF productions have been presented on Broadway, internationally, and at regional, community, and high school theatres across the country. OSF received the 1983 Special Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre and is one of the largest nonprofit theatres in the nation with three stages, including an outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre.

Statement of Purpose

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival creates world-class theatre, revealing our collective humanity through illuminating interpretations of new and classic plays, and inspiring a love of our art form for current and future generations.
