SUMMARY

The service dispatcher is the first point of contact for customers that seek repair for their equipment. He/she must have good people skills and be able to multitask regularly. He/she is responsible for dispatching service jobs and rescheduling when necessary. He/she will be dispatching field and pm techs. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Take incoming service calls – dispatch to team leader
• Maintain dispatch log – keep current
• Run daily and monthly PM reports
• Work with PM technicians and team leaders on PM list completion
• Transfer work orders from one technician to another to assist PM completion
• Close tech rejected work orders
• Add equipment to work orders
• Re-schedule all PM Amendments
• Input PM contracts
• Put in PM rate changes

Requirements

SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic computer and typing skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Prefer experience with NDS software
• Must have superior customer service skills 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum preferred: 2-3 years’ experience in a related field which includes scheduling and dispatching drivers.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum – High School Diploma/GED; College Degree Preferred

WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is in an office setting where the noise level is generally quiet to sometimes moderate if working near the shop area. Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
