Position Duties
- Answer reference questions from faculty, staff, students, and visiting researchers
- Assist patrons at public service desk and on phone
- Supervise student assistance in absence of permanent staff
- Enforce library policies and procedures
- Responsible for Library security, operating library security systems and emergency procedures
- Assist library staff with processing of materials
- Work with library catalog and research databases, patron records
- Circulation of materials, shelving and retrieving materials, donation assistance
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate student in Music, Popular Culture, American Culture, Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, etc.
- Customer service-oriented
- Able to follow directions
- Assist with the promotion of library materials through displays/display cases/tours
- Able to work nights and weekends as well as during the work week
- Able to scan and photocopy materials
- Ability to lift items/boxes (50 pounds or less)
