08/20/2025 Additional Information: Show/Hide - Conduct site visits to provide ongoing targeted coaching and consultation to early learning program staff serving children birth to three in the areas of quality early care and education, infant early childhood mental health consultation (IECMHC), Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) intervention, and healthy development.
- Participate in training relevant to B3QI for certifications and endorsements, as well as for the purpose of developing improved methods of serving early learning program staff.
- Participate in meetings, including those for case consultation purposes.
- Collaborate with other coaches, educators, program administrators, and community stakeholders to coordinate efforts and share best practices in early childhood education.
- Connect educators and providers with resources, materials, and tools to support their professional growth and enhance the quality of their programs.
- Collect and maintain accurate records and data within the required data systems.
- Follow all Board policies and procedures.

- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- A minimum of two years working with young children in a group setting and experience as an early learning coach, consultant, mentor or trainer.
- Expertise in infant and early childhood mental health, FIND model of intervention, birth to three child development, infant and toddler early care and education, pediatric health preferred.
- If the best candidate for the position is not fully qualified, the contractor must ensure the newly hired staff person has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and is on a Professional Development Plan (PDP) to fully meet the qualifications of their role within five years.
- Complete a department background check, pursuant to chapter 110-06 WAC.
- Provide proof of tuberculosis (TB) testing or treatment pursuant to WAC 110-300-0105(3)
- Show proof of MMR immunization or proof of immunity in accordance with RCW 43.216.690
- Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers
- Experience and knowledge of Washington State Early Achievers Program
- Completion of Practice Based Coach Training by UW Cultivate
- Completion of Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) certification by CHSW/AKIN
- Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMH-C) Endorsement
- MERIT State Approved Trainer Certification
- Knowledge of ECE curriculum, environmental assessments and developmental screening (CLASS, ASQ-3, ASQ-SE)
- Knowledge of IMPACT and CeCi (Early Achievers Data Systems)

Classification: Non-Exempt (.50 FTE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (20 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: $33.41 (step 1/year 1) - $37.60 (step 5/year5)
SUMMARY: ESD 123 is seeking two qualified candidates with at least one bilingual in English and Spanish. As an Early Learning Coach, you will be pivotal in supporting early childhood educators working with infants and toddlers to improve the quality of their programs and interactions with young children. This role will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to guarantee that children receive exceptional care and education during their formative years. This position will support early childhood programs throughout the ESD 123 region through coaching, training, and providing resources to empower early childhood professionals to meet and exceed the standards outlined by The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Birth To Three Quality Initiatives (B3QI). This position involves regular travel throughout the list counties within the ESD 123 region. All travel expenses eligible for reimbursement will be covered in accordance with OFM guidelines and applicable program requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment; however, travel may be required to local school districts and program sites. Sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Lifts and carries a maximum of 35 pounds. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
