JOB SUMMARY:
This position leads Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives, monitors performance metrics, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in billing, collections, and reimbursement accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise and support QA analysts and specialists in the review of reimbursement workflows.
2. Develop and maintain QA audit tools and reporting dashboards.
3. Conduct trainings, regular audits of billing, payment posting, and follow-up activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Identify trends, root causes, and training needs based on audit findings.
5. Collaborate with training and operations teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
6. Monitor payer policy changes and ensure QA protocols are updated accordingly.
7. Prepare and present QA performance reports to RCM leadership team.
8. Support system testing and validation for reimbursement-related updates or enhancements.
9. Serve as a subject matter expert on reimbursement QA standards and best practices.
10. Ensures compliance with payer guidelines, internal policies and regulatory standards.
11. Other duties as assigned by manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement, billing, or revenue cycle QA.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Experience with CPR+ or similar billing systems is a plus.
Skill and Competencies:
- Demonstrates knowledge of payer reimbursement policies, coding, and billing regulations.
- Proficient in QA methodologies, audit tools, and data analysis.
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently, collaboratively and deliver to deadlines.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and the healthcare delivery system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrates adaptability to new systems, processes, and technology.
