About the Department
Closing Date: Open until filled.
Start Date: As soon after screening as practical.
Compensation: $13.33 per hour.
Position Duties
Research, collaborate, plan, implement, and attend events in accordance with program and college procedures and expectations.
Help organize, restock, and staff the food pantry
Help distribute flyers, staff the office, attend meetings
Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional needs.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:- Frequently move around the assigned work areas as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities
- Engage in multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing and carrying of objects
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, there may be unexpected instances of somewhat loud sounds
- Ability to effectively listen and perceive the nature of sounds and spoken words at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Current LCCC student and continued enrollment in a minimum of 6 credits a semester, (exceptions may be given for summer term with supervisor approval).
Ability to work a flexible schedule that changes based on semester events.
Ability to work with diverse topics and cultures with an open mind.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience in an office setting working with Microsoft Office Software. (Excel, Word, Etc.)
One year of experience in event planning.
Other Qualifications
If you are selected for the position, your appointment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. LCCC reserves the right to end this employment agreement should the results of your background investigation not be successful.
