Maintenance Inspector

The Maintenance Inspector will drive continuous improvement of reliability and continuous reduction of maintenance cost by leading inspection plans on pressure vessels, piping, above ground storage tanks and structural steel.

 

In your future role as Maintenance Inspector you will

 

  • Ensure material of construction meet the standard set by both site and industry.
  • Provide maintenance and contractors across site with tools and techniques for welding, field installation, pressure testing and assure compliance to the site on local regulations such as API, ASME, NPFA
  • Execute deep analysis in failures to identify trends, identify common failure mechanisms and causes and provide information to support root cause failure analysis 
  • Review and analyze data from inspections on equipment reliability issues on request of maintenance engineers and provide feedback.
  • Actively support capital projects process by providing expertise in welding, quality inspection and reliability input to the Engineering Group for equipment design, specification and purchase
  • Support  Hazard Studies by providing reliability data of equipment and components
  • Provide benchmark/industry data for reliability improvement and failure predictions
  • Understand and help implement the site’s Operating Policy, and HSSE goals and objectives.
  • Support and participate in on-going HSSE improvement activities and committees.
  • Be aware of potential health, safety, security and environmental impacts areas
  • Be fully aware of your specific quality assurance responsibilities.
  • Be familiar with sitewide document control, internal quality audits, corrective action, non-conforming product and record keeping procedures.
  • Be sure employees under supervision, if applicable, are aware of and are adequately trained in quality procedures.
  • Other duties and assignments as directed by manager.

 

We believe you bring

  • 5-7 years of Mechanical Integrity Experience in a chemical plant
  • Able to maintain API certifications (API-510, API-570, NDT level 2 certification mandatory; API-650 & API-653 are a plus) as identified by the Maintenance Manager
  • Able to read, write and communicate in English
  • Abe to wear respirator if needed
  • Must be able to work in plant environment
  • Must be able to wear safety shoes, safety glasses and hard hat
