Middle School Special Educator
To Begin August 2025
The Leffell School is a cutting-edge K–12 Jewish independent school serving more than 850 students on two campuses in Westchester County, NY, 30 minutes north of New York City. We are seeking a Middle School Special Educator who can begin in August 2025.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Middle School Special Educator who will engage and inspire students, partner well with a head teacher, foster strong communication with parents and colleagues, and contribute to our mission of developing students to become responsible, honest, compassionate, and respectful citizens.
Responsibilities:
• Teach skills and content along with self-advocacy and other strategies to help students be successful.
• Frequent communication with students, parents, other teachers and outside support personnel.
• Work in our Center for Academic Support.
• Collaborate well with the content teachers.
• Potentially co-teach a subject area course.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay Rate: $55,000-$80,000
• Benefits: Generous paid time off, including personal days, and holidays. Health benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, and FSAs. Others include a retirement saving plan (403b) and wellness benefits.
