Key Responsibilities
Scheduling and Coordination
- Develop and manage caregiver schedules to meet client needs while ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Monitor and address scheduling conflicts, ensuring continuity of care for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of staff availability, time-off requests, and shift changes.
Staffing and Recruitment Support
- Assist with identifying staffing needs and coordinate with HR for recruitment efforts.
- Maintain a database of qualified caregivers, including certifications, availability, and preferences.
- Coordinate onboarding schedules for new hires in collaboration with HR and the Program Coordinator.
Communication and Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers regarding scheduling matters.
- Communicate schedule updates to caregivers and clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with clients and their families to address concerns and ensure satisfaction with staffing arrangements.
Administrative Duties
- Utilize scheduling software to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate reports on staffing metrics, including hours worked, overtime, and compliance.
- Assist with payroll by providing accurate and timely attendance data.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in staffing, scheduling, or a related role, preferably in healthcare or home care services.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Other Requirements
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and scheduling best practices is a plus.
- Flexibility to handle occasional after-hours scheduling issues.
- Must pass a background check and meet company compliance standards.
