We are looking for a Server Assistant to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
The Server Assistant is responsible for setting and cleaning the dining room area before, during and after meal service. This role assists the servers to ensure Members receive the best quality service.
Essential Functions:
- Assists servers in their tasks
- Assist in carrying food trays to tables
- Remove used dishes from tables; bring dishes to wash area
- Removed dirty linens and replace with clean linens
- Set tables with silverware, glassware, utensils, and other necessary items
- Deliver bread baskets/water to the tables as needed
- Clean dining room areas
- Stock servers' stations with supplies
- Collect trash from dining area and patio areas
- Dust/wipe chairs and tables before and after meals
- Keep ice buckets filled
- Possess ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Observe restaurant policies regarding uniform, hygiene and grooming
- Maintain a neat and clean work station during service
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our Members and Guests
- Must be able to work days/nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Prior service industry experience preferred but not necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions
- Ability to lift and carry large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room
- Ability to use both arms and hands
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
Safety Hazards:
- General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
- Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
- Handling of sharp objects such as flatware
