This position is directly responsible for oversight and operation of Opengate's ICF Day Program. This includes supervision of the Day Program Assistant Manager, DDS and ICF Direct Support Professionals assigned to the ICF Day Program. The ICF Day Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that staff are performing their assigned tasks/responsibilities. Additional duties include data collection, report writing, observing behavior, establishing a rapport with program participants, families and staff.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure a substantive, quality curriculum is planned for all ICF Day Program participants.
  • Assist in the hiring process, conduct staff evaluations, program observations, and be actively involved in the disciplinary process.
  • Responsible for coaching and supervision of staff.
  • Ensure that assigned DSP are actively involved in providing quality, active, on-going and enriching services for people receiving supports both on campus and in the community.
  • Assist in the daily operation of the ICF Day Program and provide coverage when applicable.
  • Coordinate with the Training Department to ensure on-going training of staff and conduct on-site staff trainings as needed.
  • Monitors, controls, and adheres to established assigned budgets i.e. petty cash.
  • Ensures that the ICF Day Program building is maintained in a safe and clean environment.
  • Manage DSP staff assignments where needed to ensure that the health and safety of the people receiving supports is maintained.
  • Monitor data for participant attendance to program and services provided.
  • Monitor and facilitate program activities for participants within the Day Program.
  • Serve on special committees as assigned.
  • Monitor vehicles used for use, mileage, cleanliness, gas and servicing.
  • Ensure that adequate staff coverage is maintained for the ICF Day Program needs during programming hours.
  • Follow federal, state and local governmental regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School or General Education Diploma, three years' experience working with a MR/DD population and two years supervisory experience. An associate or bachelor's degree in human services and 5 year experience working with a MR/DD population is preferred.
  • Must have a valid tri-state driver's license

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively, efficiently, and professionally with peers and Agency staff
  • Requires an ability to work with diverse groups
  • Independent decision-making , the ability to make sound programmatic decisions and effectively collaborate with staff

Physical Requirements

  • This position is a non-sedentary role; requires a lot of time standing and walking.
  • Able to lift 50 or more pounds. The ability to turn, lift and assist individuals with movement.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment.
  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some filing is required requiring the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Salary - $67,600 - $71,000.  Compensation will be commensurate with job qualifications and work experience.
