Every day in this role you will:

- Engage with all G&C Departments to service the needs of the G&C client, which include but not limited to: Purchasing, Transportation, Accounting, IT, Operations, HR
- Actively look for improvements in cost savings, operational efficiencies, and customer optimizations
- Direct liaison between Sales & Logistics to ensure the most efficient and appropriate method for delivering documents to the customer, based on transportation method and transit times to align with trade terms
- Manages required export documents for sales orders such as Bill of Ladings, Trade Agreements, and Commercial Invoices.
- Proactively communicates with customers regarding required documents for delivery of goods, service, or delivery issues, including but not limited to scheduling delivery appointments and third-party warehouse delivery applications
- Seeks assistance from internal teams and/or more senior operations team members to expedite receipt of information for documents if needed
- Maintains accurate list of documents required by country, trade lane and/or customer to ensure most efficient process
- Captures all costs associated with a shipment including freight cost, detention charges, storage charges, surcharges, and demurrage
- Preparedness to host/join virtual/in-person meetings and conferences with Clients, Suppliers, and others
- Continuously reviews and analyzes data and day-to-day processes for opportunities to improve quality and service
- Proposes improvement projects, including but not limited to aligning personal work plan(s) for transit times to ensure timely delivery of documents to customer
- Proactively contacts Sales teams to effectively prioritize and schedule work, including any customer service needs and/or issues
- Maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly customer progress reporting
- Always maintains active knowledge of status and location of all products for transactions handled
- Manages and escalates compliance and documentation issues in such a way that relevant information and/or issues can be escalated appropriately to all internal parties for quick resolution and effective communication
- Partners with Sales and Purchasing teams to further understand vendors, products, and customers to aid in relationship development and customer service
- Review and communicate Customer Credit Statements and collections when needed
- Engage with all G&C Departments to service the needs of the G&C client, which include but not limited to: Purchasing, Transportation, Accounting, IT, Operations, HR
To Thrive in this role, you must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in Sales, preferably in foodservice distribution
- Bilingual; Spanish fluency preferred, both written and verbal required
- 1-2 years customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills with a strong background in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the food industry, specifically meat products is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and disciplined organizational ability
- Must be able to multi-task and interact with people in person/virtually/over the phone, constantly
- Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues
- Ability to complete and process necessary forms and documents (i.e. expense reports, invoices) within appropriate time frames
- Rapport Building – Ability to build rapport with customers and suppliers over the phone without meeting face-to-face.
- Compliance Knowledge - Knowledge of applicable governmental regulations to the trade lane.
- Active Listening – listening with a strict focus and asking intelligent follow-up questions to help empathize with prospects to offer the best solution for the customer.
- Ability to communicate effectively to impress a sense of urgency and/or obtain needed information in a timely manner
