Position Description
We welcome all applicants who have a record of effective teaching and professional service. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching human sciences content utilizing online and face to face modalities, administrative experience, and a history of mentoring student research.

The IHS Department includes 13 full-time faculty, three part-time faculty, and a vibrant student body of approximately 1,200, comprised of 1,100 undergraduates, 70 master’s students, and 37 doctoral students.

IHS faculty are actively engaged in scholarship that aims to 1) inform health and wellness promotion, prevention, intervention, and implementation; and 2) identify determinants of career readiness and career development. The department is also home to two signature centers that support its teaching, research, and outreach missions, the Center for Adolescent Resiliency and the Curriculum Center for Family and Consumer Sciences.

Faculty Qualifications
1. Earned doctorate in a field related to Health and Human Sciences (e.g., family sciences, human development, family and consumer sciences, public health), or a related discipline by the time of appointment.
2. Evidence of effective collegiate teaching in online and face-to-face modalities.
