The purpose of the Wellbeing Workshop & Volunteer Worker is to support the provision of the Lewisham Wellbeing Hub wellbeing groups and workshops, including peer support and other advisors or service user-led initiatives that help improve the health and wellbeing of the people using the service that complement the other elements of the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and work alongside the Peer Support Coordinator and Peer Support Volunteers / Volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with people who use the service and fellow members of staff.
- Support the delivery of groups and workshops within the service that:
- Increases social activity.
- Reduces isolation.
- Facilitates sharing of lived experience.
- Helps to develop coping strategies.
- Develops skills that will help in managing daily tasks.
- Improves connections in the local community.
- Promotes service user leadership opportunities.
- Lead communication and digital strategy for:
- The Lewisham Wellbeing Hub groups and workshops delivery.
- The Lewisham Wellbeing Hub service.
- Use a variety of online and marketing materials to:
- Reach out to potential service users and professionals.
- Forge and maintain relationships with:
- Other organizations, agencies, and spaces in the community.
- Share this knowledge and skills within the team.
