ACEMCO offers the following benefits to our tool and die repair team members:
Pay: $29.00 to $42.00 an hour. Pay is dependent on experience and skillset. The amount is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
Shift premium: On 2nd shift for $2.00 and 3rd shift for $1.50
Skilled Trades Premium: On 2nd and 3rd shift for $2.50

What can you expect as a tool and die repair team member on a typical shift at ACEMCO?
As a tool and die repair team member, your primary responsibilities can include but are not limited to analyzing specifications, laying out metal stock, setting up and operating machine tools, and fitting/assembling parts to repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools. As a tool and die repair team member, you will perform a variety of operations, including but not limited to:
- Observed and complied with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and OSHA requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair the dies in a stamping press and within the toolroom.
- Responsible for knowledge of tool steels for building, repairing, and welding components (TIG/MIG).
- Responsible for setting and assembling details to build, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machines and hand tools.
- Spotted and polished details for nesting of parts and high wear surfaces with the use of die grinders.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Responsible for having knowledge of blueprints, GD&T, sketches, and models.
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.
- Complete any additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the supervisor/manager.

Education and/or Experience
- Active Journeyman card (preferred).
- Four years’ experience with approved trade school.
- Must be self-motivated and have strong attention to detail.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
